Q: Are you proud of your work?
A: I try to take pride in everything i do. i always see room for improvement of course, but i try to put forth my best effort.

Q: wait drove you to publish this one story?
A: i wanted to write and draw characters that i felt i could have related to a bit more when i was growing up. i wanted to add some quirky and fun elements as well so it's not completely "slice of life".

Q: were you hoping to send a massage out with this one story?
A: i think my underlying message dealt with the importance of self acceptance but mainly i was hoping to entertain.

Q: the title of your story “Off*Beat” did your editor come up with it?
A: i came up with the title. there is a symbolic reference to the title in the end of the original script.

Q: who is your favorite character in off*beat?
A: that's a tough one. like a good parent, i try to love all of them equally. i think if i absolutely had to pick one, i'd pick paul. he's kind of an embodiment of my college experience and that was a great time in my life.

Q: do you have an ending for the story yet?
A: yes.

Q: Vol.3 of off*beat is put off for some time said Tokyo pop did this scary you at all or were you mad?
A: it was unsettling and depressing but i try not to get too down about it.

Q: Have any future plans for off*beat?
A: i hope i can still finish and share the ending of it someday. i'd also like to visit the characters again in some form, whether it be short comic strips or just illustrations.

While the 3rd volume of Off*beat is scheduled for release this year, there comes unsettling news from the publisher, Tokyopop, that financial issues have forced them to curtail production of OEL Manga. While Off*beat has NOT yet been names, it falls in this catagory.
